Man arrested a week after conviction for groping

COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) — Howard County Police say a man awaiting sentencing after being convicted of groping women in parking lots in Columbia was arrested on similar charges.

Police say a woman shopping in a Target in Columbia on Thursday said a man was following her in the store and had grabbed her buttocks. Officers say a truck followed her as she drove from the parking lot.

Police say 27-year-old Jeremy Ng (ING) of Ellicott City surrendered to police on Saturday. He has been charged with assault, stalking and a sex offense. He is being held on $175,000 bond.

According to police and court records, Ng pleaded guilty to assault and a sex offense on July 15 in connection with three incidents last year. He was free on bond awaiting an Aug. 8 sentencing.
