Park Police release new images of sex assault person of interest

WASHINGTON — U.S. Park Police released new images of a person of interest in an April sexual assault in a park near Georgetown University.

On Monday, Park Police released images of a man they named as a person of interest in a sexual assault of a woman. The assault occurred in Glover Archbold Park at about 8 p.m. April 1.

The woman was walking by herself in Glover Archbold Park when a man attacked her and then ran off.

The man is described as a black male of light brown complexion, approximately six feet tall and 230-240 pounds, according to U.S. Park Police

Joggers and walkers often use the park.

Police previously released a sketch of the woman’s attacker.

Anyone who can identify the man or knows his whereabouts is asked to call police at 202-610-8730.
