ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who is considering running for president in 2016, has reported raising about $796,000 in the second quarter of this year for his political action committee.
O’Malley, a Democrat, released his latest fundraising report from April through June on Tuesday. The second quarter amount is significantly higher than the $104,200 he reported raising in the first three months of the year, when he did not solicit money during Maryland’s 90-day legislative session, which ended April 7.
O’Malley now reports having about $894,833 cash on hand in the PAC, which is called O’ Say Can You See.
He raised about $1.7 million last year.
The term-limited governor is scheduled to leave office in January, when his second term ends.
