Metro: 3 lines to be affected by weekend work

WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says the red, orange and blue lines will be affected by work this weekend.

Metro says beginning on Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through system closing on Sunday trains will operate at 20 minute intervals on the blue and orange lines. In addition, on the red line, trains will operate every 15 minutes between Shady Grove and Glenmont. On Saturday and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. there will be additional trains between Grosvenor and NoMa-Gallaudet.

Metro says trains on the green and yellow lines will operate at regular weekend intervals.
