Man charged after shooting over music contest

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — Prince George’s County authorities say a man who allegedly shot two people after an argument over a music competition has been arrested.

Police said Wednesday that Terrance Brawner, of Temple Hills, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder.

According to an arrest warrant, Brawner allegedly brandished a handgun at a Temple Hills club last month and fired several shots in the parking lot. A male and a female victim were shot in the lower body.

The arrest warrant says the altercation stemmed from an argument Brawner had with the male victim over a music competition the victim won.

He is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. He’s also charged with two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.
