Former DC officer pleads guilty in pimp case

WASHINGTON (AP) — A former District of Columbia police officer accused of serving as a pimp has pleaded guilty to charges including possession of child pornography.

Prosecutors say Linwood Barnhill Jr. entered a guilty plea Friday in federal court and that the agreement calls for a seven-year sentence.

Barnhill was arrested in December after a search for a missing 16-year-old girl led officers to his apartment. Prosecutors say Barnhill took photographs of the missing girl and said he was going to set up a “date” for her to engage in sexual acts. The girl never actually engaged in prostitution for Barnhill, but prosecutors say other women did, including a 15-year-old.

Prosecutors say Barnhill took nude pictures of the 15-year-old as well as a 17-year-old and filmed the 17-year-old performing oral sex on him.
