The 10 hottest neighborhoods on the D.C. real estate market

Some have stunning views of the Potomac and the iconic D.C. monuments on the mall. Some have big yards. Others are stunning rowhouses.

All are for sale right now in Washington, D.C., in neighborhoods MRIS Homes says are currently the hottest in the D.C. market.

MRIS Homes, offering real-time local listings from the Multiple Listings Service, and RealEstate Business Intelligence looked at the median days on market for homes sold from January 2014 through April 2014. They took that data and compared it with 2013’s days-on-market data for each neighborhood. RealEstate Business Intelligence and MRIS Homes said the subdivisions that made the cut had a median days on market of 10 days or less.

We pulled an image of one home from each of those hot neighborhoods and threw in some stats and links. As of late this week they were still on the market, but the way homes have been selling in the Greater Washington area lately, they probably will have offers on them, maybe as soon as you are reading this. I mean, mortgage rates continue to tick downward and pending home sales are rising.

So go ahead and jump into the slideshow and… happy hunting.
