BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore’s Edgar Allan Poe House may not be open forevermore just yet, but the shuttered dwelling where the famed author and poet lived from 1833-1835 will once again open its doors to the public.
The historic landmark and museum, located at 203 Amity Street, was closed in 2012 after the city cut its funding. Now run by nonprofit organization Poe Baltimore, the museum briefly reopened in October of last year for weekend visits.
Poe House administrator Lisa Lewenz says the museum will be reopen Saturday and will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., through the end of the year.
