Virginia women held on drug, stun gun charges

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Two Virginia women have been arrested on charges of having hundreds of packets of suspected heroin and a stun gun in their car in Rhode Island.

Rhode Island State Police said Joshe Jones of Richmond, Virginia, was arrested on Saturday after police seized 252 glassine packets of suspected heroin. Police say they investigated after the 19-year-old Jones was caught speeding on Route 95 in Exeter.

She was arraigned on charges of possession of heroin and operating with a suspended license.

Police say passenger Audrey Chappelle, also of Richmond, had a stun gun and was arraigned on a charge of weapons other than firearms prohibited.

The two women were in custody and it was not known Sunday if they are represented by lawyers.
