Washington fire death ruled a homicide

WASHINGTON (AP) — Washington police say the death of an 80-year-old woman in a house fire has been ruled a homicide.

Police said Monday that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled on Friday that Lucille Proctor’s death in the Feb. 13 blaze was a homicide. The cause of death still has not been released.

On April 1, Lucille Proctor’s husband, 76-year-old Robert Proctor, was charged with arson in the blaze.

Police say homicide detectives are reviewing the incident.
