Wizards warn of ticket fraud ahead of Pacers series

WASHINGTON – The Wizards are warning fans to be wary of fraudulent playoff tickets.

The team reported a “substantial increase in fraudulent ticket activity” during the first round playoff series against the Chicago Bulls. And the problems with ticket fraud prompted the warning issued Friday, when tickets went on sale for the second round series against the Indiana Pacers.

Fans should buy tickets only from the team or authorized sellers like Ticketmaster or NBATickets.com.

Fans who want to experience a Wizards playoff game in person at the Verizon Center could have plenty of opportunities to do so.

After facing the Pacers in Indianapolis Monday night, the team returns to D.C. for games Friday and Sunday at the Verizon Center.

After this weekend’s home games, the series returns to Washington for an expected Game 6.

USAToday predicts the Wizards will advance after Game 6. And Sports Illustrated predicts a Pacers win in seven games.

Follow the action live on Federal News Radio 1500 AM. The game will also be broadcast at 8 p.m. Monday on TNT.
