Loudoun teacher’s aide charged for assaulting student

WASHINGTON — A Loudoun County teacher’s aide was charged with assault and battery after police say he assaulted a student.

Leopoldo Cabrales, 65, was charged Friday, April 25 for the incident that occurred on March 27, according to a Loudoun County Sheriff’s office news release.

The 12-year-old student suffered minor injuries in the assault that took place in a Sterling Middle School classroom, the release states. No further details about the incident were released.

Cabrales was released on a $5,000 bond.
