TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- A grand jury has indicted a man who fled from Maryland to South Carolina with one of his daughters on nine criminal counts, including killing the girl's mother and kidnapping the child.
Among the charges the man faces in Monday's indictment in Baltimore County is first-degree murder in the woman's death. One of her other children found her stabbed to death March 6 in her home.
Police began looking for the man and the missing girl, prompting a nationwide search. The two were found in a motel in Florence, S.C.
The man also faces charges of kidnapping and attempted sexual abuse to a minor.
