Domino’s introduces pizza on fried chicken crust (Photo)

WASHINGTON — Can’t decide if you want to eat fried chicken or pizza for dinner? Pizza chain Domino’s is making the decision easier with its pizza made on a fried chicken crust.

The new menu item includes toppings, sauces and cheeses layered over 12 bites of lightly breaded, 100 percent whole breast white meat chicken, according to a Domino’s news release.

There are four different kinds of the “Specialty Chicken” item: crispy bacon and tomato, spicy jalapeno-pineapple, classic hot buffalo and sweet BBQ bacon.

Domino’s launched the menu item Monday after a campaign to think outside the box.

Specialty Chicken is the first new product for Domino’s since the launch of Handmade Pan Pizza in September 2012; it will be available as part of its $5.99 mix and match deal, according to Domino’s.

“Our new Specialty Chicken is one of the most creative, innovative menu items we have ever had,” said Russell Weiner, Domino’s Pizza chief marketing officer, in the release. “Our pizza chefs have taken chicken to a whole new level, using our unique ingredients to create these four bold flavors. There’s nothing quite like Domino’s Specialty Chicken on the market today.”
