MONKTON, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County police say an 82-year-old Monkton man has been charged in the shooting death of his 78-year-old wife at their home.
Police announced Tuesday that Glen Treslar has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Yvonne, and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Officers went to the Treslars' home on Garfield Avenue on Monday afternoon after a friend called 911, concerned that something was wrong. Police say Treslar told officers that he had just shot his wife and they found her in a bedroom, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Treslar told officers he argued with his wife earlier, but didn't explain why he shot and killed the family dog.
