D.C. police release new video in search for missing 8-year-old

WASHINGTON — The Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public to help identifying a man in a video released after the month-long search for 8-year- old Relisha Rudd.

The police department released video footage Friday of the man stepping off the bottom of an escalator. Police say they believe the man may have information in Relisha’s case and that they are only seeking to speak with him.

Police said they were unable to share the location where the video was captured as it might negatively impact the investigation. However, the shape and color of the tiles on the floor in the video look like those used at Metro stations.

Anyone who recognizes the person in the video or knows where he might be located, should call the police at 202-727-9099 or text them the tip to 50411.

Relisha was last seen on March 1.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the location and return of Relisha.

The police urge anyone who has seen Relisha to call 911 or call the FBI at 1-800- CALL-FBI.
