WASHINGTON — If you are a math or dessert aficionado then March 14 or Pi Day (3.14) is for you. The American Pie Council has its own spin on the day and offers suggestions including pie making tips and the best way to eat the day away.
Local spots are getting into the Pi or pie spirit with promotions and freebies. At Dangerous Pies DC, pie friends can enjoy a slice for the special price of $3.14 between 5-7 p.m. at all D.C. locations. But there is a limit of one per customer.

Pi is the uneven ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter and it’s also famed physicist Albert Einstein’s birthday.
