Saturday - 3/8/2014, 7:20pm  ET

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Officials have given the all clear after investigating a bomb threat at Georgetown University's Washington, D.C., campus.

The university issued an alert at 4:45 p.m. Saturday saying there was a report of a bomb threat at the bookstore in the university's student center. Georgetown University spokeswoman Stacy Kerr said in an email around 6 p.m. that the building, which was evacuated, had been given the all clear by police.

Kerr said in a statement that the bookstore got a call around 4:30 p.m. from an unidentified man saying he left a package in the bookstore. When asked what was in the package, he replied a bomb.

Police were notified and swept the building. No packages were found.
