Backstage: The Eagles, Cowboy Junkies return to D.C.

WASHINGTON -- Saturday at the Verizon Center, the Eagles continue what Could possibly be their final tour.

The "History of the Eagles" tour last came to the District in July 2013. The retrospective concert touches on each of the band's SIX mega-hit albums of the 70s as well as their 2007 release, "Long Road Out of Eden."

Also scheduled for Saturday at Jammin' Java, songwriter Willie Nile performs.

Nile's latest album, "American Ride" pulls no punches. It's stripped down rock 'n' roll at its finest.

Sunday at the State Theatre, Cowboy Junkies are scheduled to perform.

The Canadian roots rockers first got some mainstream attention in the late 80s with their cover of Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane," but have since maintained a loyal following.

Their latest release, "The Kennedy Suite" is a concept album that reflects on President John F Kennedy's assassination.
