HILTONS, Va. (AP) -- Virginia State Police say two students suffered minor injuries when a car rear-ended a school bus in Scott County.
State police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says the students were getting off the bus at a stop when the accident occurred Tuesday afternoon on Route 58 near Route 614.
Geller says the bus' side-arm stop sign and flashing lights were activated.
The car's driver, 18-year-old Star S. Shaffer of Hiltons, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. She was taken to a hospital.
The bus driver, 60-year-old Lee R. Sanders of Hiltons, and several other middle and high school students on the bus weren't injured.
The investigation is continuing.
