NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Pendarvis Williams made four 3-pointers en route to 25 points as Norfolk State rolled past Howard 75-49 on Monday.
Williams had three steals as Norfolk State (14-10, 8-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) forced 24 Howard turnovers. Jamel Fuentes added 11 points and seven assists for the Spartans.
James Daniel led Howard (6-19, 4-6) with 25 points, including six 3-pointers. The Bison shot just 32.6 percent, on 15-of-46 shooting. Oliver Ellison added seven points and nine rebounds for Howard.
The Bison have not beaten Norfolk State since January of 2010, losing eight straight.
Trailing by 18 points at halftime, Howard cut its deficit to 52-41 after a 3-pointer by Daniel with 10:49 left.
But Williams started a 14-0 run, capped by a Marese Phelps 3-pointer, to make it 66-41 with 6:27 remaining and the Spartans cruised from there.
