More than 300 without power in N. Va.

UPDATE: Sunday, Jan. 19 6:12 p.m.: Power has been restored to residents and businesses, Dominion reports.

EARLIER: Sunday, Jan. 19 9:00 a.m.:

WASHINGTON – More than 300 customers are without power this morning after a driver took out some power poles in Northern Virginia.

Early this morning, a driver struck at least two poles along Lee Highway.

Work crews now have Lee Highway shut down in both directions between North George Mason Drive and North Glebe Road. Dominion Power expects the repairs to last until between 1 and 5 p.m.
