RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Gov. Terry McAuliffe went right to work after being sworn in, signing four executive orders.
One imposes a $100 gift limit on himself, his family, other members of the administration and their families. The action comes as state and federal investigations continue into former Gov. Bob McDonnell's relationship with a business executive who showered him and his family with thousands of dollars in gifts and loans.
Another order prohibits state government from discriminating based on race, sex, color, national origin, religion, age, political affiliation, disability, sexual orientation and, for the first time, gender identity.
The other two orders deal with government continuity.
