Police seek two men wanted in D.C. sexual assault

WASHINGTON – Police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with a sexual assault in Northeast D.C. last week.

Around 2 a.m. on Dec. 21, an adult woman was walking in the area of West Virginia Avenue and Mount Olivet Street, NE when two men approached her. The suspects forced her into a nearby alley at knife point and sexually assaulted her, according to information police released Monday.

The suspects took personal items from the woman and then fled the scene, police said.

One suspect is described as a clean-shaven black man with a dark complexion between 27 and 28 years old. He is about 5 foot, 11 inches tall with a slim build. At the time of the assault, he had a black scarf on his head and wore a black hoodie and dark pants.

The other suspect is described as a black man with a light complexion between 19 and 25 years old. He is between 5 foot, 8 inches tall and 5 foot, 10 inches tall. At the time of the assault, he wore a long sleeve blue or gray thermal shirt, light color pants and silver and black athletic shoes.
