LA CROSSE, Va. (AP) -- A funeral is scheduled Thursday for a La Crosse volunteer firefighter who was killed while responding to a traffic accident report.
La Crosse Volunteer Fire Department chief Michael Clark tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1dosYP1 ) that 25-year-old Joshua Travis Smith died after his car went off a road and hit a cinderblock entrance to a cemetery. Smith was driving toward the fire station when the accident occurred Saturday.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at RZUA Headquarters and Conference Center in La Crosse.
