Warehouse explosion injures 1 in Hanover County

HANOVER, Va. (AP) -- A warehouse explosion has injured one person in Hanover County.

Hanover Fire and EMS battalion chief J.T. Williams tells media outlets that the explosion was reported shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday at a warehouse on South Washington Highway.

Williams says the victim was taken to VCU Medical Center. Their condition wasn't immediately known.

The building sustained heavy damage.

The cause of the explosion hasn't been determined.
