NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Norfolk State's cheerleading team has been cleared of hazing allegations.
WAVY-TV (http://bit.ly/1cA7j4s ) reports that a university investigation determined that the allegations were unfounded.
The university has lifted a suspension of the cheerleading team's activities.
Parents of at least two cheerleaders alleged in October that new members were put in a dark room for long periods of time or forced to hold weights.
Norfolk State suspended the cheerleading team's activities while it investigated the allegations. The university's alumni squad performed during the football team's homecoming game in November.
