MARTINSVILLE, Va. -- Hooker Furniture Corporation President Alan Cole is stepping down next year.
The Martinsville-based furniture maker said Wednesday that Cole's retirement is effective Feb. 2, 2014. His successor will be Hooker Upholstery President Michael Delgetti, who also is the company's executive vice president of sales.
Cole began working at Hooker Furniture in 2007 as executive vice president of upholstery operations. He later was named president of Hooker Upholstery and then president of the company.
