WASHINGTON (AP) - Officials in Washington are getting ready to put a streetcar on the tracks on H Street for testing.
Television station WRC-TV (http://bit.ly/1goM1Oj ) reports the DC Department of Transportation is moving a streetcar from its testing facility in Anacostia to H Street on Friday.
Testing will start on Saturday or Monday. Passenger service is expected to start next year. There have been no working streetcars in the district since 1963.
