BALTIMORE (AP) -- Public health officials say the state has had its first hypothermia-related death of the season.
The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene said Wednesday that a man between the ages of 45 and 64 had died of hypothermia-related causes in Prince George's County. The death occurred between Nov. 26 and Dec. 2.
Officials say in the 2012-13 winter reporting season, there were 30 hypothermia-related deaths in Maryland.
