WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found on the shore of the Potomac River near the Watergate building and the Kennedy Center.
The body was found Friday afternoon across from the 2600 block of Virginia Avenue, Northwest.
Police haven't identified the woman, but she's believed to be between 65 and 75 years old. She was wearing glasses and a wedding ring.
Her body has been taken to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy.
