Police arrest suspect in attack on GWU professor

WASHINGTON – A man has been arrested in connection with the vicious attack on a part-time George Washington University fencing professor, Metropolitan Police say.

Members of the D.C. Police Homicide Branch charged 38-year-old James Brown, of Southeast, D.C., with aggravated assault.

Police found Jason Chambers lying unconscious on a sidewalk on near the 2000 block of S Street in the District Oct. 27. He was wearing a silver Halloween costume.

Chambers is still in a local hospital with major head trauma, police say.
