NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- The Navy has arraigned four Virginia Beach-based sailors in connection with the training accident deaths of two Navy divers in Maryland.

Navy Diver 1st Class James Reyher of Caldwell, Ohio, and Navy Diver 2nd Class Ryan Harris of Gladstone, Mo., drowned on Feb. 26 while working at the Aberdeen Proving Ground.

Each of the sailors appearing in a courtroom at Naval Station Norfolk on Wednesday was charged with dereliction of duty. The sailors were members of the same unit as Reyher and Harris. Trials for each of the men are scheduled for January. None of the sailors has entered a plea.

In August, five sailors were given administrative punishment for their roles in connection with the deaths. Four of those sailors refused to accept that punishment, leading to their arraignments.
