SAVAGE, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police have charged a Savage man with growing marijuana in his home, which also houses a day-care center.
Thirty-one-year-old David Geoffrey Anderson was arrested Tuesday and has been charged with manufacturing, producing and distributing marijuana. He was released on $35,000 bond.
Police say an anonymous tip led them to get a search warrant for the home. Detectives say they found a room under the house that held a hydroponic marijuana grow operation.
Investigators say they also found marijuana plants, seeds and fertilizer, and numerous plastic bags of marijuana in rooms of the house and an outdoor shed.
Police say state officials have suspended the home's day-care license.
