Suspect arrested in Carroll County bank robberies

Wednesday - 9/25/2013, 7:40pm  ET

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- The Carroll County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they say took part in two robberies at the same bank in a week.

Deputies and Baltimore police arrested 54-year-old with Jeffrey Barry Thompson of Union Bridge Tuesday night in a motel in Baltimore.

Authorities say Thompson robbed the New Windsor State Bank on Tuesday. Deputies say he was driven to that robbery by a woman identified only as Deanna.

Police say Deanna is the woman who robbed the New Windsor State Bank on Sept. 18, and that Thompson acted at the driver in that crime.

Thompson is charged with armed robbery, conspiracy and other offenses.

Deputies are looking for Deanna.
