NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- An unattended laptap computer caused a scare at Norfolk International Airport, prompting a brief evacuation.
Airport officials tell The Virginian Pilot (http://bit.ly/16dI6KJ) a search found no evidence of explosives Monday afternoon. The evacuation was ended about 20 minutes later.
An airport police officer found the laptop on a chair near the ticket counters for American Airlines and US Airways. The Transportation Security Administration and airport police X-rayed the bag before declaring it harmless.
The laptop awaits its owner at the airport police property room.
