MILFORD, Del. (AP) -- Delaware State Police say one of two burglary suspects who crashed while fleeing troopers has been arrested.
The troopers were called to the Coach Outlet in Rehoboth Beach early Wednesday. Police say a Mercedes Benz SUV sped off from the shopping center and later crashed into a car in Milford. The driver of the other car was treated and released. Two men fled the SUV on foot, but troopers found 85 Coach purses police say are worth $29,000.
Police say 39-year-old Timothy Hood of Richmond, Va., was arrested at a gas station later in the morning and detectives determined he was also involved in two other burglaries last month. Hood is charged with burglary, theft, vehicular assault and other offenses. Police are still looking for a second suspect.
