BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (AP) -- Leaders of the two Bluefields are getting together to discuss local issues.
Bluefield, Va., Mayor Don Harris says next week's meeting with elected officials in Bluefield, W.Va., will be the first joint meeting in about four years.
Harris tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraph (http://bit.ly/17nnimW ) that he believes the two Bluefields can work together on joint issues.
The meeting is set for Sept. 19 at Fincastle on the Mountain in Bluefield, Va.
Bluefield, W.Va., Mayor Tom Cole said says his city's officials are looking forward to meeting with their counterparts in Virginia.
Cole says the two Bluefields are divided by the state line but they have common issues.
