Monster Mini Golf slated for Gaithersburg

Glow-in-the-dark golf balls and clubs and moving monsters are the theme at Monster Mini Golf, an 18-hole, indoor miniature golf course coming to Gaithersburg.

The Providence, R.I.-based company says the Gaithersburg franchise will open this fall at 9116 Gaither Road.

Golfers play under black lights and encounter monsters while listening to music from an in-house DJ.

Monster Mini Golf will also include an arcade and private party rooms.

Monster Mini Golf, founded in 2004, has more than 30 locations now. This is its first in the Washington area. The next closest to D.C. is in Columbia, Md.
