BEL AIR, Md. (AP) -- A man is dead after being shot by a sheriff's deputy in Harford County.
The county sheriff's office says the man, whose name hasn't been released, was shot late Saturday night during a confrontation with deputies in Bel Air. He died of his injuries early Sunday.
Authorities say the man was shot after he broke into a snowball stand on Rock Spring Road and refused officers' orders to come out. Police had earlier received a report of a disorderly man and possible property destruction property at a 7-11 across the street from the snowball stand.
The name of the deputy involved in the shooting was not released. The sheriff's office says it has multiple witnesses it still needs to interview.
A sheriff's office spokesman didn't immediately return a phone message.
