State Police seek information in Goochland slaying

Wednesday - 8/14/2013, 4:20am  ET

GUM SPRING, Va. (AP) -- Virginia State Police are looking for witnesses who can help solve the 10-year-old murder of a Goochland County real estate agent.

Joan Wood Weigelhofer was shot to death inside the Busy Bee Realty Co. office in Gum Spring on Aug. 14, 2003.

State Police say a witness reported seeing a dark-colored sport utility vehicle parked in front of the office within an hour after she was last seen alive. Special Agent James Reisch says someone who routinely travels the stretch of road outside the office could have information that is instrumental in solving the case.

State Police say anyone with information is asked to call (804) 553-3408. Tips will be kept confidential.
