WOODLAWN, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County Police say officers shot and killed a suspect after an officer was dragged by a minivan.
Police went to a home in Woodlawn about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a burglary. Officers saw two men running from the home and getting into a minivan.
Authorities say an officer approached the vehicle and reached in the open driver's side window to stop the minivan. Police say the driver grabbed the officer's arm and began to drive the vehicle. The officer and two others opened fire on the vehicle, hitting the driver and passenger.
Police say the minivan crashed into a parked car. The driver was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma. The passenger was taken to Sinai Hospital.
The officer who had been dragged suffered minor injuries.
