WASHINGTON - Three officials with the U.S. Marshals Service in the District of Columbia have been placed on administrative leave while the agency investigates what it calls "serious misconduct allegations."
The officials include a chief deputy U.S. Marshal and two assistant chief deputies. The Marshals Service says all three are with the D.C. Superior Court.
The agency is not identifying the individuals and won't discuss the specifics of the allegations against them.
It says the investigation is internal and that the Department of Justice's Office of Inspector General is aware of it.
