RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Grants totaling $859,406 are headed to programs across Virginia to improve and expand support for people with developmental and other disabilities.
The funding was announced Thursday by Gov. Bob McDonnell's office, which said the recipients had leveraged $324,992 in private, local and state funds.
The grant funding is destined for the Virginia Association of Centers for Independent Living, the Virginia Oral Health Coalition, and a mentoring program with the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services, among others.
