ROANOKE, Va. (AP) -- Three people have been indicted on bootlegging charges stemming from a raid in Franklin County that netted 180 gallons of moonshine.
The accusations against the three followed the May raid in which agents with the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control destroyed two 800-gallon stills that produced the illegal spirits.
Agents said the street value of the moonshine ranged up to $10,000.
The Roanoke Times (http://bit.ly/196yDZ8 ) said the indictment names 54-year-old Ricky Nelson Matherly, 54-year-old Debra Adams Walker and her daughter, 36-year-old Debra Nicole Walker.
Matherly has a September trial date. No court date has been scheduled for the Walkers.
