Pro-Snowden recruiting billboard at Pentagon Metro stop (Video)

WASHINGTON – A pro-Edward Snowden message has shown up near the Pentagon.

ABC 7 reports a group called The Oath Keepers has placed paid signs at the Pentagon Metro stop. At least one sign says Snowden honored his oath when he leaked secrets related to government surveillance.

On its website, the group says it is a “non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore … to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.”

ABC 7 says the signs are aimed at recruiting other government employees to follow in Snowden’s footsteps.

The group’s site says another Pentagon station sign shows the Iwo Jima flag-raising while another tries to reach CIA employees. Both urge people to honor their constitutional oaths.

The group says it has billboards outside of military bases in California, Georgia and Texas.
