NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Norfolk says the 17th Annual Virginia Arts Festival drew about 83,000 patrons.
The festival was held throughout the Hampton Roads Area from March 19 to June 2. It consisted of 93 events, including 57 ticketed performances. There were also 36 free events, which is a festival record. The city says the festival projects finishing with a balanced budget for the eighth consecutive season.
The city says the events were attended by visitors from 44 states and 10 countries.
