NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- A swimming advisory issued for a portion of Norfolk's Ocean View has been lifted.
The Virginian-Pilot reports (http://bit.ly/11J0BYZ ) that the advisory was issued Tuesday. The Environmental Health Division in Norfolk tested water samples and the results indicated that the bacteria levels had decreased to within state water quality standards. Signs that were posted were being removed Wednesday.
The division in Norfolk samples Ocean View beach water weekly during the swimming season from mid-May to mid-October.
