RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- A multi-agency crackdown on crimes against children has netted six arrests in Richmond and the surrounding counties.
Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli announced the results of "Operation Spring Clean" on Tuesday. Four of the defendants face federal charges, while two others will be tried in state court.
The operation focused on child pornography and child enticement type offenses. Seventeen search warrants were executed.
Several local police departments joined the Virginia State Police, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the Postal Inspection Service in the initiative.
