RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- A woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a bus crossing a downtown Richmond street.
Police tell the Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/17jL0DA) the woman who was struck Tuesday is expected to survive. The driver of the Virginia Commonwealth University bus was issued a summons for failure to yield the right of way.
According to police, the woman was hit in a crosswalk. Police say the driver should have yielded to her.
The woman was struck by both right wheels.
